About Us

Our Purpose

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 NKJV

Pharmacy school can be hectic and even overwhelming sometimes. The best way to go is to not go alone. With this in mind, in 1989(with the caretaker committee), National Fellowship of Christian Pharmacy Students (NFCPS), was born in Ahmadu University, Zaria, Nigeria.

National Fellowship of Christian Pharmacy Students, ABU Zaria chapter stands to enrich every Christian Pharmacy student within and beyond the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, ABU Zaria. Our strong triad is catering for the Spiritual wellness, Academic Excellence and Welfare of our members which centers on Faith, Hope and Love. We are a happy family with open arms, ever welcoming.

We function under various capacities to cater to the all-round needs of our members and even beyond.

Spiritual Support System

We have our weekly fellowship meetings on Fridays when school is in session and even online when out for the holidays. It is a gathering where we fellowship together, sharing the word of God, praises and encouraging one another in the word. It’s also an avenue for members to meet, socialize and relate, creating an atmosphere where neither class, tribe, race, culture, gender is a dividing factor. We’re all one under the umbrella of Christ Jesus.
We also Organize prayer meetings every Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings, imbibing and promoting the culture of prayer and seeking the face of God in our members.
We organize Bible studies and Bible Quizzes to enrich our members with the word of God.

Academic Support

We organize tutorials across the classes to cater to the academic needs and help with our members’ struggles. This also fosters familiarity and unity amongst the classes as we get the immediate higher class to teach the younger. We organize academic orientations at the beginning of each semester to educate and equip our members for what’s to come. We also have fellowship compilations of solved and explanatory approaches to questions on various courses both digitally and manually.

We make general food provisions especially during examinations to cushion the exams strains and drains. As a community that fosters love, we make time to visit and check on our members, to make them feel seen and inclusive in the congregation. In times of difficulty and trials, we have seasoned patrons, matrons, senior friends who step in from a level of experience and maturity.

  • As a body who recognizes a broader scope of life beyond the pages of our books, we have various platforms where members can showcase and utilize their talents and skills. We have
    1. Quality Control Theatre : For those interested in acting
    2. Pharmacogospel Unit: For those with a love for music.
    3. Editorial Team
    4. Media And Technical Team
    5. Good News Carriers.
  • We have an annual event “ All Christian Pharmacy Weekend”, a gathering across all age groups and a wide variety of guests across various fields and spheres of life, where we invite seasoned Ministers both in words and music and also presentations from our various subunits.
  • We launch our annual Magazine “The Therapist” at this event. With rich contents on diverse topics , we’re able to keep impacting lives wherever our Magazine gets to.
  • Also, to wrap up the weekend, we have a picnic, open to all, to socialize, interact, share values and innovative ideas. A break from our academic hassles and a moment to refresh and reflect moving forward.
  • As a family that keeps on giving, we organize health outreaches, visits to orphanages and evangelism walks, where we distribute tracts to keep the gospel on its wings.

We Recognize the power in communalism and in spite of our diversity, we speak one language, Love, the greatest commandment. The world is a much better place when we give a helping hand.
